Tamara McCain is a Treasury Management Officer for Republic Bank and Trust Company in Lexington. She advises and assists business owners and key personnel on managing their operating cash flows along with providing services to help them spend less time banking and more time focused on their business.
Tamara was involved with sewing and cooking projects as a 4-H member. Her proudest accomplishment comes from her participation in the talent show. She accredits 4-H for her communications and presentation skills that have carried her through school and her career.
Before coming to the Foundation board, she has spent extensive time with other organizations. She has previously served on the Board for Professional Women’s Forum, on the executive leadership team for Go Red for Women, and a volunteer for the American Diabetes. Tamara looks forward to bringing a new perspective to the Foundation Board and learning more about Kentucky 4-H.
She and her husband, Chuck, live in Lexington, Kentucky. Her daughter graduated from Transylvania class in 2014, and is now working in her field of choice. Her son is in the Lindsey Wilson class of 2019. The whole family still enjoys visiting her parent’s cattle and tobacco farm.
