Cloverville at the Kentucky State Fair is in full swing!  The Kentucky 4-H Foundation and 4-Her’s from across the Commonwealth invite you to see the over 5,800 4-H projects from across the state.

Make plans to visit Cloverville until August 30th in the West Hall of the Kentucky Exposition Center.  The Kentucky 4-H Foundation has added even more “WOW” factors to the exhibit this year.  As you enter Cloverville you will walk through two main entrances that have been revamped with a new covered porch.  As you look around, signage throughout Cloverville has been improved with new 3-D raised, lettering.  Walking through the exhibit you will see new display cases and shelving for 4-H exhibits.  For all the financial contributors, the Big Donor Clover is completely new.

4-H activities are going on daily throughout Cloverville and the Kentucky State Fair to highlight the achievements of thousands of 4-Hers from across the Commonwealth.  Still to come and new this year on Friday, August 28th will be Science, Engineering and Technology Day including Lego wars.  Other days at the fair you can enjoy watching the tractor contest, heifer show, sewing skill-a-thon, or dog demonstration.  Kentucky 4-H offers something unique and exciting for all ages and all interests.

Attendees and special guests attended the Kentucky 4-H Foundation Appreciation Breakfast Friday, August 21st.  Welcomed into Cloverville by green jackets and smiles of the State 4-H Officers attendees viewed the new additions to Cloverville.  During the breakfast the Foundation honored Governor Steve Brashear and Commissioner James Comer for their contributions and support to Kentucky 4-H during their terms in office.  The Appreciation Breakfast was also a time to say thank you to all the supporters of the Foundation and the sponsors of Cloverville.

The Cloverville tradition could not continue without the sponsors of this project.  Two new sponsors joined us this year including Jerry D. Westerfield, M.D., 4-H State President 1960-61, sponsoring the library.  The Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund also joins sponsoring City Hall.  We also want to say thank you to our first four major sponsors including:  Kentucky Farm Bureau sponsor of the Marketplace, Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperative’s sponsor of the General Store, Limestone Farm Lawn Worksite sponsor of the Farm, Lawn & Garden, and the Kentucky 4-H Program sponsor of the Cloverville Stage.

The Foundation’s fund development efforts will continue as three major sponsorships are still available and individual donations are welcome.  Join hundreds of other 4-H supporters and honor your memories of 4-H through supporting Cloverville at the Kentucky State Fair.  We want to see your name on the Big Donor Clover!

It’s not too late to attend the Kentucky State Fair!  Join us in Cloverville!
