Today launches the spring 2013 4-H Paper Clover Campaign in partnership with Tractor Supply Company. From May 8-19, shoppers at any of the 47 Kentucky Tractor Supply Stores will have the opportunity to support local 4-H programs by choosing to purchase clovers at the checkout.
The TSC Paper Clover Campaign is a nationwide, in-store fundraiser that benefits 4-H programming at the local, state and national levels. Through the partnership, Kentucky 4-H programs are able raise funds and visibility in their communities.
70% of the funds raised go to Kentucky 4-H programs with 60%-65% coming back to the counties. The county 4-H programs use these funds to support club activities and supplies, transportation to 4-H events, awards, scholarships, and other 4-H related activities. These activities range in everything from animal science to robotics.
This is the 7th Paper Clover promotion with TSC. To date, $83,956.73 has been raised with each year raising more money than the previous. For the first time, the 2013 campaign will start the County Incentive Program. Any county program that participates with some kind of in-store activity during the Paper Clover promotion, and returns the participation form will be eligible to receive 100% of the funds raised above what that store raised in the 2012 Spring Paper Clover promotion. This gives the counties an incentive to raise more money for their local 4-H programs.
There are a few new features to this year’s campaign. In addition to the $1 paper clover, shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase paper clovers for $5. The $5 Paper clovers will be larger than the original. Also for the first time, customers will receive a coupon when they make a donation. Thanks to the support from Purina, both $1 and $5 Paper Clovers will include a Purina coupon.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to Tractor Supply Company for their ongoing support of 4-H and Kentucky’s youth. From encouraging their customers to support this cause they have made an immense impact on our 4-H programs here in the Commonwealth. Their support has been invaluable. So head to your counties Tractor Supply Store and get those Paper Clovers before May 19th, your small donation can make all the difference.
