The Kentucky 4-H Foundation is leading the way in fund development. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015 the Foundation provided opportunities to Kentucky 4-Hers by disbursing $221,899.95 to County 4-H Councils. In the past seven years, strong bases of funding opportunities have provided support to all 120 counties in the Commonwealth for local 4-Hers to benefit.
Through the Kentucky 4-H Foundation’s efforts we have helped to put a diverse revenue stream together through programs like “Ag Tag”; TSC Paper Clover Campaign in the Spring and Fall; Area II funds to support travel expenses for agriculture related competitions and conferences; the Agriculture Mini-Grant program; military grants; and others including grants from the National 4-H Council. In addition to these, many individuals through the Foundation have designated donations to the County 4-H Council of their choice. All of these programs are the direct impact that alumni and donors have on the Kentucky 4-H program.
The Foundation will continue to work to build a board base of support for local and state 4-H. Click here to view the full report on county support or go to our website at www.kentucky4hfoundation.org to see how you can help support the best kept secret in youth development!
