The Kentucky 4-H Family Hall of Fame
The Kentucky 4-H Family Hall of Fame recognizes families who have made a profound impact on Kentucky 4-H through their outstanding service and dedication. The families inducted into this esteemed group have built lasting legacies by generously contributing their time, resources, and leadership to strengthen the Kentucky 4-H program at the local, regional, and state levels. The enduring success and relevance of the Kentucky 4-H program owe much to the leadership and support of multi-generational 4-H families across the Commonwealth.

Nomination and
Selection Criteria
Families eligible for this prestigious recognition must have demonstrated significant, generational contributions to Kentucky 4-H, including the investment of time, resources, and leadership. Up to four families will be selected each year and honored at the Kentucky 4-H Foundation Annual Appreciation Breakfast, held on the first Friday of the Kentucky State Fair.

Nominations may be submitted by any individual or organization.
The Chappell & Hornback Family-2022
Application Requirements
The nomination application should include two typed narratives (no more than 300 words each) addressing the following:
- Family Involvement: Describe the family’s contributions to Kentucky 4-H across generations, including activities, financial or time-based support, and leadership. Were these efforts new or ongoing initiatives?
- Impact and Outcomes: Explain the results of the family’s involvement. How has their support positively affected the Kentucky 4-H program, its members, and volunteers? What specific difference has this made over time?
Additionally, provide a list of committees, boards, or groups the family has been involved with throughout their service.

Submit two letters of reference from the following groups:
- Current 4-H Members
- Former 4-H Members
- Community Leaders
Please also include relevant photos or news clippings to support the nomination.
The Westerfield & Duncan Family-2019
Award Presentation
Award recipients will receive a personal invitation to the Kentucky 4-H Foundation Annual Appreciation Breakfast, sent by the Kentucky 4-H Foundation in late June or early July. During the event, each family will be honored with a plaque, and their name will be added to the Family Hall of Fame Plaque, displayed in the Harold Workman Lobby of the Kentucky Exposition Center.
