Harlan Hatter is Deputy Executive Director for the Office of Consumer and Environmental Protection in the Department of Agriculture. In his position, he provides legal direction and support for the regulatory functions of the department.
As a Magoffin County 4-H member, he enjoyed being on the poultry and horticulture teams, along with being active in his school 4-H club and as a State Teen Council member. His last year competing on the Horticulture team, he was eligible to go to the National Horticulture Competition.
Harlan is appreciative to the 4-H organization for supervised growth over his 4-H career. He is joining the board because of the importance of giving back to 4-H. He learned countless life lessons and had role models that helped him develop into the person he is today. He looks forward to helping provide the same opportunities to the youth to make for a strong generation.
